Based on the Memorandum of Understanding the Hungarian Water Association and the Hungarian Water Partnership signed with the Vietnamese Water Supply and Sewerage Association a technical training was organized to more than a dozen Vietnamese water professionals to deepen their knowledge in the field.
According to the MoU we signed we agreed to support capacity development through training activities to improve and enhance skills level and operation, maintenance technique for the technical workers in water sectors. This training was organized in a knowledge sharing point of view, focusing on sustainable water management.
After the introduction of the Hungarian Water Management and Regulatory framework and the Hungarian water industry, the participants could hear lectures and presentations about infrastructure development and asset management highlighting the importance of professional project preparation. The water cycle of Budapest and the agglomeration was also introduced, moreover, the water and wastewater treatment plant in the capital and the suburban area have also been presented during site visits. The participants (Vietnamese water professionals) could also taken best practices in the field of wastewater treatment (membrane solutions, ReWater container, etc.)
