Róbert Forintos, co-chairman of the HWP, who is also the chairman of the Hungarian-Vietnamese Business Council of the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Indistry (HCCI), traveled to Hanoi on October 16-22 with the delegation of the HCCI.
On behalf of HWP, Mr Forintos had a meeting with the Chairman of the Vietnam Water Supply and Sewerage Association, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Diep, and signed the renewed trilateral cooperation agreement and the work plan for the coming three-year period. The signing took place in the presence of Dr Tibor Baloghdi, Ambassador of Hungary in Vietnam and Ms Nikoletta Oláh, Commercial and Trade attaché of the Embassy.
During his program, the co-chairman also met with the leaders of HWP's new partner, the Vietnam Innovation Network in Europe and discussed possible projects related to water infrastructure.
The official meetings also included a consultation with the management of NCERWASS, the organization responsible for rural water supply. Two innovative and cost-effective solutions developed by two member companies of the HWP received special attention during the negotiations: the PurAid compact, pallet size mobile drinking water purification device of the Puraset Kft. and the Septopure technology to treat 100% fecal sludge of the Pureco Kft.,
Mr Forintos, accompanied by Ambassador Baloghdi and Ms Oláh visited Quang Binh Province and met with the Chairman of the province's People's Committee, Mr. Tran Thang. A discussion was held on the possible early start of the second phase of the Quang Trach district waterworks construction.
