The primary function of the Hungarian Water Partnership is to support the exports of its member companies. To this end, it has already developed a diversified international network that needs to be further expanded.

Taking advantage of the opportunity offered by the Planet Budapest 2021 Sustainability Expo, HWP invited several high-ranking foreign delegations to its stand.

Despite the pandemic, the invitation was eventually accepted by delegations from 12 different countries (some countries were represented by more official delegations). The meetings were also attended by the CEOs of the interested exhibiting member companies, who guided the high-ranking guests to their stand after the consultations. The foreign delegations expressed great interest in the the water related solutions and products presented by the HWP members. HWP received several invitations to organize events where the particular companies can present themselves in detail.

During the Expo, the managing director of HWP Nonprofit Kft. held a meeting with the Regional Manager for Central & Eastern Europe of the International Financial Corporation (World Bank) on international financing opportunities for infrastructure investments in the Western Balkans.
