Apart from acting as first point of contact for foreign company representatives interested in working together with the members, HWP had a busy programme as well. On Monday Mr Károly Kovács, President of HWP, Mr Zoltán Horváth, CEO of HWP Nonprofit Ltd., and Mr Csaba Ilcsik, the CEO of Waterscope attended the Council Meeting of the European Water Association (EWA). Later in the evening HWP, Waterscope and UTB Envirotec participated in the pitching and networking session arranged for Hungarian, German and Spanish companies by the Enterprise Europe Network in cooperation with the Hungarian Export Promotion Agency (HEPA).

On Tuesday the Consul General of Hungary in Munich, Mr Gábor Tordai-Lejkó and the foreign trade attaché of the Consulate General, Mr Gergely Janzsó had visited the booths of the five exhibiting member companies. At the stand of the HWP Mr Károly Kovács and Mr Róbert Forintos, respectively President and Co-President of the organization, and the CEO Mr Horváth welcomed the guests and informed them about the successes of the partnership and the challenges ahead. During the meeting HWP emphasized that the Hungarian water industry companies are offering sustainable and resilient solutions to water related challenges worldwide. On Thursday the Memorandum of Understanding between the Hungarian Water Partnership and the Vietnamese Innovation Network in Europe (VINEU) was signed at HWP’s booth. After the short signing ceremony the HWP Wine&Cheese party kicked off. The representatives of the member companies as well as their international business partners, HEPA, the Hungarian Consulate General in Munich and EWA attended the event. In his welcome remarks the Secretary General of EWA, Mr Johannes Lohaus, underlined the importance of acting together globally in order to be able to eliminate the risks of the water crisis worldwide. During the event we served the fantastic Signum Szekszárdi Prémium Bikavér red wine thanks to the Lajver Winery from the Szekszárd wine region, Hungary.
